This exhibition is a collaboration between MASSA and the Malacca Chinese Assembly Hall in an effort to promote heritage and cultural awareness to the public.
Aside from providing congregation and praying spaces, religious architecture also serves as a manifestation of cultural significance. This exhibition showcases 3 buildings of different faiths- Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Church of St Teresa and Feng Shan Gong Temple (Harbour Kuli Culture Gallery), in the form of measured drawing and models crafted by students of School of Architecture, Building & Design of Taylor’s University. They exhibit distinctive spatial planning, structural design, ornamentations and cultural meanings.
